The Schumachers play a very important role in the ministry of TWR in Swaziland. They joined TWR in the year 2000.

Doug is TWR-Swaziland's fincance director and is responsible for all financial functions on the Swaziland mission field. He works closely with TWR's Africa Regional Office and the corporate office in Cary, North Carolina.

Doug is also called upon regularly to assist the various national offices in Africa in matters of finance. This includes assisting with budget management and training of staff in various areas of TWR's financial affairs.

Doug, and his wife Madeleen are working in this position because they had a clear leading from the Lord to go to Swaziland and have loved every moment of their time there.

Madeleen assists in various areas of TWR's ministry in Swaziland, including the hosting of guests who visit the mission station. Many of these guests are donors or people who are involved in work parties at the short wave and medium wave transmitting site.

Doug and Madeleen have two children, Amy and Joshua. They have adapted well to life on the mission field.
