James and Lyn Burnett have been serving with Trans World Radio since 1982.

After twelve years with TWR as an engineer in Swaziland, James was transferred to the Africa Re­gion­al Office in Johannesburg where he now serves as Regional Engineer. He is responsible for all the technical aspects of TWR’s ministry in Africa, from short wave and medium wave to satellite services.

He manages the radio propagation of the short wave broadcasts and sees to it that the optimal radio frequencies are used to ensure good reception.

James is currently involved in a number of technical projects in the Africa region. These range from building recording studios to the installation of FM radio stations and satellite receivers.

From an early age James has been convinced that radio is a very effective medium for spreading the Gospel to millions in Africa and all his effort is focused on making this dream come true.

Lyn uses the gifts and talents the Lord has given her to make a difference. She is actively involved in continuity announcing for the TWR satellite service on DStv Audio channel 55.

Lyn is also responsible for mana­ging the training resource centre at the TWR Africa Regional Office.

James and Lyn have three child­ren: Katherine, Matthew and Andrew (who died tragically in a bicyle accident in December 2005).
