How to get TWR'S Satellite audio channel 55 at home

Trans World Radio's satellite to home radio station, called TWR Satellite Audio Channel 55, is available free-to-air via a DStv or a Vivid decoder.

Although TWR is free to air on DStv, Multichoice charges a set-up fee and an annual fee for customer service and support on your decoder. (This is not the case with the Vivid decoder - See below for details).

Tune in on Multichoice DStv

1. DStv Free-to-Air Bouquet. This option enables you to receive DStv’s free-to-air television and radio channels, including TWR Channel 55. There is an annual administration fee of R500.00 for the first year and then R180 per year thereafter.
   (This is available in South Africa only.)
2. DStv Full Service. This is the entire package of DStv audio and television channels with a monthly subscription of R360 (Please check with Multichoice for the latest prices).

How to purchase a DStv free-to-air option

1. Purchase a decoder and a satellite dish installation.
2. Contact Multichoice and tell them you want a free-to-air contract or a full service contract (See above)
3. Pay Multichoice R 500 - for setup, administration and technical support.
4. Connect to your television and/or sound system.
5. Follow the steps on the right.

Troubleshooting

What happens if TWR Christian Radio doesn't appear on your TV screen? Please follow the following instructions to find Trans World Radio on your DStv decoder if you cannot find channel 55 on your DStv decoder or your decoder displays the message "Searching for Signal at ---mHz" or "E45 Searching for Signal at---mHz"..:

1. Press Menu on the remote control.
2. Scroll to Organising Services and press OK.
3. Scroll to Full Rescan and press OK twice.

If the decoder doesn't recover completely or if your decoder does not have the "Full Rescan" option, follow these steps:

1. Press Menu on the remote control.
2. Scroll to Advanced Options and press OK.
3. Press OK on Change Dish Installation.
4. Key in the numbers 9949.
5. Scroll to Retune IRD and press OK.
