Tuesday, 6 January 2009 – Pray for new programme partnership arrangements with Tearfund, Unicef, Crusaid, Partners in Health, etc. for programming at the national level.

Wednesday, 7 January 2009 – We praise God for the completed production of the Radio Bible programmes on the New Testament in the Hausa language.

Thursday, 8 January 2009 – Please pray for the safety of the producers – they often live and work in very dangerous circumstances in areas where Christianity is forbidden.

Friday, 9 January 2009 – Praise God for the wonderful collaboration of the Bible Society in Côte d’Ivoire in bringing Radio Bible in French to fruition.

Saturday, 10 January 2009 – Pray for the possibility of this programme being aired on a local FM station in Guinea and other West African countries.

Sunday, 11 January 2009 – Today is Connie Jordaan’s birthday – let us ask God for continued blessing on and mercy in his life.

Extending the reach – Africa needs Jesus! It is the technical team at TWR’s goal to bring the message of salvation to as many people as possible through the medium of radio. The use of radios in Africa is very popular and it is an ideal medium for spreading the Gospel of Christ. TWR also needs to be constantly aware of new technologies and opportunities in the electronic media.

Monday, 12 January 2009 – Thank God for answered prayers regarding the signal from the Benin transmitter – the signal practically covers all of Nigeria.

Tuesday, 13 January 2009 – Let us also praise God for the improved functioning of the VSAT to Benin.

Wednesday, 14 January 2009 – Thank and praise God today for the new transmitter in Swaziland, which has been installed and is functioning at 100% power.

Thursday, 15 January 2009 – Let us continue praying for funding for the Swaziland transmitter project.

Friday, 16 January 2009 – Please pray that TWR-Africa will be able to obtain a satellite radio channel that will make it easier for stations in West Africa to receive our satellite broadcasts.

Saturday, 17 January 2009 – Praise God for His mercies in Kenya – TWR now has a total of four FM stations on air in Kenya.

Sunday, 18 January 2009 – Please pray that the installation of the new transmitting tower on Vuria Hill in Kenya will go well.

Monday, 19 January 2009 – Ben Booyens, Danie du Preez and Rudolf Kabutz will be travelling widely this year to minister in churches and share about TWR. Please pray for the Lord’s presence and protection.

Tuesday, 20 January 2009 – Let us pray for Len van Aarde as he develops TWR’s sending agency further and cares for our missionary families.
