Philippines (continued) ~ TWR staff in Baguio, Philippines focused their efforts on rescue. “We mourn with those who lost their loved ones,” says Jim Reyes. “Their cries of agony have marked our hearts.” TWR-Philippines is now focused solely on relief operations, serving hundreds of evacuees who have flocked to Baguio and La Union relief centres for necessities, such as food, clothing and shelter. TWR-Philippines is planning to run a soup kitchen that will feed about 200 people in La Trinidad, Baguio City and another 200 people in Naguilian City, La Union. The soup kitchen will run for two weeks and is relying on help from volunteer nutritionists, cooks, food handlers and distributors.

Thursday, 11 March 2010  –  TWR staff need the help of volunteers to run the soup kitchens. Pray that God would provide the right people and bless their efforts.

Friday, 12 March 2010  –  Today is Vusi Radebe’s birthday. Pray that the Lord will use him greatly as he leads his family and serves the Lord at TWR.

Saturday, 13 March 2010  –  Today is Rudolf Kabutz’s birthday. Ask that the new year will be filled with God’s goodness, wisdom and love.

Sunday, 14 March 2010  –  Let us pray for the board of TWR-SA as it fulfils its role in providing direction, listening to God and caring for the staff.

Monday, 15 March 2010  –  Today is Katja Schiller’s birthday. Ask the Lord to enfold her with His love, strength and joy today and in the year ahead.

Wednesday, 17 March 2010  –  Pray for the many listeners to TWR-Malawi’s programmes, even in countries such as Mozambique and Zambia. Ask that many will come to God and grow in their faith.

Thursday, 18 March 2010  –  Let us pray for the FM transmitter sites in Malawi, as they all need maintenance and care. Ask the Lord to protect the equipment and those maintaining them.

Friday, 19 March 2010  –  Ask the Lord for His provision to install transmitters in Mzuzu, Livingstonia, Kalonga and Chitipa during the next few years.

Saturday, 20 March 2010  –  Bring to the Lord the new transmitter installed at Mcinji, and please ask Him to bless the new listeners in the immediate area, that they will come to know the Lord.

Sunday, 21 March 2010  –  Today we pray for all broadcasts to Malawi over TWR’s FM network.

Monday, 22 March 2010  –  TWR-Kenya continues to run programmes for seven FM frequencies, with all the associated demands and costs. Ask God for the energy and resources needed.

Tuesday, 23 March 2010  –  Please pray for Bernice Gatere, National Director of TWR-Kenya, and her team who work tirelessly to broadcast in many languages in Kenya.

Wednesday, 24 March 2010  –  Today we pray for TWR-Burundi and the opportunity to supply programming to Hope FM, which covers most of the country.

Thursday, 25 March 2010  –  Pray for Egide Ban, National Director of TWR-Burundi, and his team who recently experienced great testimonies of God’s work in the lives of listeners.
