Trans World Radio is now broadcast on the web using cutting-edge streaming technology over a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) stream delivery network using Windows Media and Rawflow P2P streaming technologies and is brought to you by Antfarm and Digital Biomes.
All you need is successful installation of the P2P plugin and Microsoft Windows Media Player, which is currently available for a variety of computer platforms. If Media Player's not yet installed on your computer, or you would like to download the latest version, click on the relevant link below:

Your browser cannot open the embedded Media Player either because it is not supported by the browser or because your browser's security settings disallow embedded controls - If you are using IE, Netscape or a Mozilla browser, check your browser's security settings and make certain embedded or ActiveX controls are allowed.
Your connection to the Internet is not stable or is congested - or the nearesat network delivery point is too busy or unavailable (this very rarely happens). Check your connection - wait a little, then please try again. If you are connecting from an office network, please ask your network administrators if they allow streaming from the Internet.
Congestion in the Internet.... or congestion on your line? The latter is usually the case - try to reconnect and use less bandwidth by shutting down browsing or downloading sessions. Repeated failed connections:
The streams may be having difficulty reaching your player due to an unsupported or blocked stream protocol. If you are running on a network that uses a firewall, check that Windows Media streaming is allowed on TCP port 554/1755/80 and is not blocked; if you are accessing Transworld Radio from the office, you may need to consult your IT department support staff concerning this…
If the Rawflow plugin does not install successfully, you may need to configure the browser security settings to allow this - Here you find a brief tutorial of how to allow the installation of ActiveX controls for Internet Explorer.
If the audio reception buffers for a while and then stops after a period of stream playback, an automatic re-connection attempt will be made to the closest available streaming peer - this may time out if no peer is found within a reasonable period of time. If this happens, press the play button on the Transworld Radio stream player or refresh the stream player window by pushing F5 on your keyboard - this will force a re-connection to the P2P network and connect you to the stream again.
If you have not accepted the installation of the P2P plugin, or are using a Mozilla-based browser such as Firefox, your listening duration of the Transworld Radio stream is time limited to 60 minutes as the streaming connection is direct to the stream source. By having accepted and installed the P2P plugin, your Transworld Radio listening experience and that of other streaming peers, is made possible by the sharing of your upstream bandwidth with the stream peering community and as a result, you are entitled to listen to the Transworld Radio stream indefinitely...

Firewalls and PC protection software can sometimes block your PC from receiving internet streams. You may need to open additional ports in your firewall to enjoy streamed content. Often your default media player setting is to use your browser proxy - which may be preventing the stream from coming through. The quickest way to check is to run the player and access Tools.... Options..... Network and set HTTP to use no proxy (none). A tutorial that briefly describes how to configure most firewalls to work with Windows Media streaming is available from Microsoft's Windows Media site.
